Resources for anyone involved with volunteers in Kent

1000th Volunteer!

Are you getting involved?

So far 1000 of you are!

The Kent eVent Team is a partnership between Kent County Council and the voluntary sector in Kent, aimed at recruiting volunteers for events and one-off sport, leisure and cultural activities accross the county, including the build up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London.

By April this year, more than 1000 volunteers had signed up to the Kent eVent Team, and by 2011, it is hoped that 2500 volunteers will complete the team.

The Kent eVent Team welcomes volunteers from all backgrounds and with a broad spectrum of skills and abilities.

The scheme allows total flexibility - no need to make a regular commitment - which is ideal for those with busy lives who still want to volunteer.

Volunteers have supported events such as the World Custard Pie Eating Championships, National Beach Volleyball Championships, Kent County Youth Theatre Festival and the Kent Walking Festival.

The lead partner in the Kent eVent Team is Voluntary Action Maidstone (VAM).
